Most salicylic acid-acne treatments smell unpleasant like yeast or sperm. This one smells good. I have a mild case of adult acne (which set in after stopping the pill) and I use this treatment at a max once before bed. It would dry out my skin too much if I would use it more often. There are some nights when I skip Obagi PT and it still works well for me. I already had less outbreaks after using Obagi for only one week. However, this is by no means the perfect product as it leaves a fine whitish film on your skin that makes your skin shine and you look like plastic. I never use Obagi PT in the morning because I do not want to "wear it" outside, but like I said, it works fine for me to use it only during the night. Another criticism: I hope the next Obagi PT bottle that I buy will not leak while transporting it in my cosmetic bag, but that might just be this individual bottle.Also, a 4 oz bottle lasts circa 6 months of... I have combination skin and hormonal acne. I have been using this product since Thanksgiving 2011 and I have had less breakouts and my skin tone and texture have improved dramatically. I am so glad I took a chance on this product after failing to find something that could handle my skin type. I highly recommend this to anyone who is getting sick and tired of paying tons of money for products that do not do what they advertise. I also use the foaming face wash with this(#1) and love it also. My face did get a little dry when I first started using them so I used the pore therapy every other day at night time.
